Mourning the loss of teachers students and friends

With life expectancy so low in Zambia, unfortunately it effects those closest to us. Every year we mourn the loss of some of our own.  Teachers, students, and friends have all been lost. Some of our students get sick and leave school without returning to fulfill their scholarships.  We lost one of our faithful employees and several of our hardworking teachers. Each with their own heartbreaking story. Working in Zambia means learning the harsh reality of loss and what it’s like every day for for those we love so much.  Our heart goes out to them and their families.

Sera Chansa was one of our teachers who was at a meeting (pictured here) in March of 2018 and died two weeks later, cause unknown (accompanied by coughing)
