Meet Kate Purkey
I am a single grandmother with two wonderful daughters and eight grandchildren. I love to dance and to travel. My most recent adventure was a climb to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. I currently live in San Dimas, California and am the CFO for a mid-level public works contractor.
I was introduced to Zambia Scholarship Fund during a presentation at church and knew from that moment on that I needed to help. I have had the opportunity to travel to Zambia with Peggy Rogers and other ZSF volunteers. I saw first hand how important this work is and how dedicated Peggy is. I will never forget that trip and the look of joy and gratitude on the faces of our students and teachers in Zambia. I know that ZSF is a good steward of the money that is being donated. Not one penny is wasted. It is for that reason that I continue to contribute.
