ZSF supports Molwani Primary School with 75 Desks.

Zambia’s Scholarship Fund, or ZSF, has donated and handed over 75 dual desks to Molwani Primary School, in the Kasama District of Northern Province, located about 20 Kilometers South of the Central Business District.

This gesture by ZSF follows reports of a deplorable situation from stakeholders expressing concern at some pupils sitting on bare floors, sitting three-to-four on a desk meant for only two, jostling for the few desks available, a state of affairs that negatively affected teaching and learning activities.

And after the stakeholders, that is; the community, parents and traditional leadership, solicited for support from ZSF, the organisation saw for itself the challenge at the school and subsequently moved-in and donated the 75 desks!

Handing over the desks, ZSF representative Joseph Mubanga, said it is the fund’s desire to help deprived communities, like Molwani, with educational support so that local children can attain quality education.

The donation of the 75 double-seater desks ignited smiles and hope among the locals of Molwani community and surrounding areas who expressed gratitude at the development.

Meanwhile, ZSF is building a modern one-by-three classroom block at Molwani Primary School which it will soon donate and handover to the government on behalf of the community.

ZSF, with its generous support from American donors, has in its 25 years of existence in Zambia supported thousands of underprivileged children and deprived communities in the Northern Province, where it operates from, with educational empowerment such as scholarships, building of classroom blocks, donation of desks, books and computers.
