Typical Community “Schools” Before ZSF Builds a School
While it may look like fun (for those of us young at heart) to build a fort and call it a school. The fun starts to wear off as the rains come in and you rush to put more mud and more grass on your roof . . .or when the winds blow sand in your eyes, or when the spiders like your hut more than you do, or when the ants come in and eat your one banana.
It was never ZSF’s intention to build schools, but the more we saw what a difference a school made to a community, the more we found it life changing.
When you build a school in a community, this one building puts the community on the map. This one building poses as, not only, a shelter for school children and teachers, but also a building where the community can meet and hold town meetings, where visitors to the village can stay the night, where festivals and celebrations can be held, and a safe place to meet when emergencies arise.
If you want to change the life of hundreds help ZSF build them a school!
